Salina Zanetti is a Certified Yoga Instructor and will be teaching Monday - Friday in the Fitness Room at Escape Day Spa & Boutique. All ages and abilities welcome! Sweetwater County Young Professionals is hosting a wine tasting at Sidekicks Wine and Book Bar in Downtown Rock Springs. $15 gets you samples of a spread of wines, charcuterie board snacks paid for by SWYP, and socialize with like-minded professionals. Hosted by the Rock Springs Historical Museum. Join local historian CK Lee as she gives a special guided tour of the Rock Springs Cemetery paying tribute to our local Veterans.
Lee has spent years researching the families and individuals who made Rock Springs home and has shared her love of history with anyone who is interested. Now she was turned her attention to the Veterans who made Rock Springs home and is ready to share their stories.
We will meet at the Directory located at the center of the Rock Springs Cemetery at 4:00 pm sharp Friday to begin the tour. Sunday we will meet at 2:30 pm sharp for the encore tours.
*Please note this is an outdoor walking tour, wear appropriate shoes and be aware that there will be a good deal of both walking and standing. Masks and social distancing are strongly encouraged, and animals are not allowed in the cemetery.* - May 15-16, Needle Felting Workshop Weekend, the yarn and the tale, 10 am
This is a two-day workshop from 10:00 am - 3:30 pm, including a half-hour break for lunch.
Materials kits are provided for all students. Those attending both days will receive extra fiber. Students attending Day 2 are welcome to bring existing projects. Additional materials desired beyond those provided in the kits are available for purchase at the yarn and the tale. May is National Historic Preservation Month and the community is invited to celebrate it in Downtown Rock Springs.
