My Own Downtown - Tracy Hafner

Last Updated 12/16/2021

Did you know the daffodil symbolizes new beginnings and rebirth? It’s the perfect flower to give someone for the New Year.

2020 has presented many challenges but Tracy Hafner, Owner of Save The Date Flower and Wedding Studio didn’t let that stop her from opening her new store this fall.

Tracy has been a florist for over 30 years.

“I love helping people and sharing my passion with others when it comes to flowers, making memories, and expressing feelings through flowers,” Tracy shared.

She said, “Every day is different, we receive orders for the birth of a new baby, flowers for a well-deserved retirement, flowers for weddings, or flowers to express final goodbyes to a loved one.”

Tracy added, “One of my favorites is when flowers are ordered for no reason at all, just to make someone else’s day.”

According to Tracy, it is an honor to her to be able to help others express their feelings through flowers when they may not be able to express them with words.

“I love the ‘feel’ of Downtown and the energy it carries, the history you see in the buildings and businesses that have been here for several years,” Tracy expressed.

Since Tracy opened the doors in October, they have had a lot of people come in to support and welcome them.

“It makes it all worth it,” she said.

Tracy hopes locals and visitors will keep supporting small businesses.

“Make Downtown your first choice,” she suggested. “Get out, take a walk around Downtown and stop into the small businesses. Order flowers locally, and grab lunch from a Downtown restaurant.”

She concluded by saying, “Small businesses appreciate the support and it stays in our local economy.”

Tracy sees a positive future for Downtown.

“The Downtown area has seen a lot of growth and new businesses recently,” she mentioned. “I think that is a great sign for Rock Springs overall.”

“Supporting Downtown local businesses is vital to our community and hopefully it will encourage others to open more businesses,” Tracy pointed out.

Tracy smiled and said, “Downtown is the heart of the city,”

...And that’s why Downtown Rock Springs is My Own Downtown.
