My Own Downtown - Escape 307
In a hectic world, escape rooms make sense. There are many ways to run away from our reality, at least for a short time. Escape Rooms sell an experience. Friends, colleagues and strangers are “trapped” in some sort of space and must work together in putting the puzzle together through a series of challenges to win their freedom with limited time.
According to Owner, Amanda Bruder, they heard about escape rooms several years ago.
“We learned about what it takes to run them from creating stories, building the rooms and programming the electronic props; we saw this as something we would enjoy doing and we saw that the community needed more things for teens and adults to enjoy doing,” she pointed out.
She went on to say, “We really like designing and creating the unique rooms. We don't buy any plans from anyone so it is really enjoyable doing all the problem solving to create this unique experience for players.”
Of course, it’s always rewarding to see others having fun.
“It is also really great seeing other people enjoy playing the games and even meeting travelers from other states or even countries that enjoy Escape Room games,” Amanda revealed.
Amanda and her husband, Casey are happy with their location in Downtown Rock Springs. “Rock Springs is such a close knit community and we love being Downtown because the camaraderie between all of us independent business owners is amazing,” she expressed.
Amanda sees a bright future for Downtown Rock Springs. “Everyone always works together because we all want to provide things that the people of Rock Springs really need,” Amanda said. “We all want to see our city grow. And it still has plenty of room to grow into an even more awesome town.”
