My Own Downtown - Kathy Gilbert
Agreeably, kindness is good for your heart.
According to Rock Springs resident, Kathy Gilbert, friendliness has always attracted her to Downtown Rock Springs. She even works in Downtown as a Care Coordinator for VIRS Respite Care in the Sweetwater County Health and Human Services building. She also expressed that shopping Downtown is comforting because the business owners are hometown folks. She also pointed out that the familiarity of the buildings adds a comforting touch to this area as well.
As a child growing up in our community, Kathy enjoyed everything Downtown had to offer.
“Those memories have been compounded over the years and multiplied by the addition of trees and green space along with beautiful murals that tell some of the history of our town,” Kathy said.
Kathy hopes locals and residents will continue to support small businesses in Downtown.
“Explore our beautiful Downtown and check out the amazing stores where you can get anything from groceries to one-of-a-kind crafts and enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner while you’re here,” she suggested.
Kathy is confident that Downtown Rock Springs will remain tough through these challenging times.
“I believe the future of our Downtown looks bright,” Kathy expressed. “The businesses located Downtown are wonderful and remain strong supporters of our community through all of our ups and downs.”
…And that’s why Downtown Rock Springs is My Own Downtown.
