My Own Downtown - Casa Chavez
Since the 1920’s, Mexican food has been a huge part of our diet. The distinct blend of spices, seasonings and colors makes it irresistible.
For 21 years, Casa Chavez, 744 Pilot Butte Avenue, has been serving genuine Mexican food in Downtown Rock Springs. They have your favorites from tacos to fajitas to margaritas.
“We love having our business in Downtown because it has a small tight community feel,” Co-owner, CeCe Velasquez expressed.
According to CeCe and her father, Inalvez Chavez, adding a personal touch to conversations helps build positive relationships with customers and other businesses in Downtown.
“Downtown is full of neighbors who treat you like family,” Inalvez pointed out. “We have a special connection with our customers and the other business owners in Downtown.”
CeCe agreed by saying, “We just don’t talk about ‘shop.’ We ask each other about our kids, our pets, events, projects and our health.”
She went on to say, “The URA and our Downtown neighbors are all great. Everyone is so friendly and supportive of each other.”
The best memory for Casa Chavez so far has been participating in the Lighted Holiday Parade in Downtown.
Social media helps businesses connect with customers.
“Get on social media. It will give you the exposure you need,” CeCe noted. “Take advantage of it as much as possible.”
Casa Chavez is the place to indulge in authentic Mexican food and to catch up with friends and family.
