My Own Downtown - Kelly Palmer (Brokerage Southwest)

Real estate agents guide clients through the process of home buying with care and confidence.

Kelly Palmer from Brokerage Southwest, was inspired to become a real estate agent by her mother, Maggie Riley.

“My mom just had the knack of talking and making a deal,” Kelly shared. “She is definitely one that will not be forgotten in this industry.”

“The excitement in people getting their first home or moving up or onto new adventures and helping them achieve personal goals is pure happiness,” she included.     According to Kelly, Downtown Rock Springs is “a lot like a small family."

“I love the Downtown area,” she expressed. “The business owners are all very friendly and helpful; I feel they give each other a lot of support.”

Kelly believes her office is in the perfect spot in our community.

“I wouldn’t trade our Broadway location in Downtown for anything,” she pointed out.

Kelly has many special memories of Downtown, especially one in particular.

“A local organization, I think it may have been the YWCA, held tricycle races behind the office,” she explained. “Oh, the laughs and it was so fun!”

Kelly looks forward to the annual Halloween Stroll.

“You see so many people there and their great costumes,” Kelly said. “I also love the Brown Bag concerts.”

Kelly hopes locals and visitors will continue to support small businesses in Downtown, even if it’s just to stop by, chat with them and see how they’re doing.

“Stop in and just say ‘hello’ and see what each business has to offer,” she suggested. “During these challenging times in our country, a nice friendly ‘hello’ and a smile, I’m sure, would be appreciated. Keep spreading some cheer.”

Growth in the historic district doesn’t happen overnight.

“I feel Downtown has come a long way over the years,” Kelly mentioned. “I think it will continue to grow with businesses offering great service with options for all residents and visitors, such as shopping, eating, history, and sources for housing.”

She added, “Hats off to the City of Rock Springs and the URA!”

...And that’s why Downtown Rock Springs is My Own Downtown.
