The Elephant Man

"The Elephant Man" by Bernard Pomerance is a drama set in late Victorian London. “The Elephant Man” is based on the life story of John Merrick, a man born with a disfiguring disease who manages to survive as a "freak" in a side show. Rescued by Dr. Treves, the Elephant Man is boarded at a hospital and becomes a celebrity to some while to others he continues to be an object of abuse and exploitation. Our Actors’ Mission production is directed by Nina Tyler. The show will be performed at The Broadway Theatre in downtown Rock Springs in May 2025. This is Actors' Mission's 85th and is the last show in its 22nd Season. Poster Design by Dave Gutierrez.
