My Own Downtown - Becca Smith
Becca Smith is a Missouri native who moved to Rock Springs less than a year ago. She is the owner of the newest store in Downtown, Rebel and Roots Boutique.
In her store, shoppers will find slightly upscale Western and Boho style women’s clothing and accessories such as dresses, tops, vests, jackets, leather earrings, koozies, jewelry, tote bags and much more. Rebel and Roots Boutique provides an intimate shopping experience with the knowledge of fashion, trends and how-to of piecing together a trendy and affordable outfit while pairing it with stylish accessories.
Since her grand opening, Becca has been enjoying being a part of Downtown.
“I love the overall sense of community that you find Downtown,” Becca said. “There are always activities in the area. If you are bored downtown, you are doing something wrong.”
Becca added, “There are so many really cool and unique stores and shopping experiences that help provide greater access to product diversity in our community.”
Looking back, Becca is thankful for events like Main Street Market for the opportunity to sell her products.
“Getting to know the other small business owners and employees in the Downtown area provides me with great networking opportunities and a sense of community,” she expressed.
Becca believes it is especially important for shoppers to know that by supporting small businesses, they are giving more to their community and making a bigger economic impact.
“When you shop small, you are getting an overall more personable, hands-on and memorable customer service experience,” she pointed out.
According to Becca, partnerships and networking opportunities between small business owners are exciting to see in the Downtown area.
“With the continuation of community events, more opportunities for new small businesses, and some storefront facelifts, Downtown will continue to grow and be viewed as a community gathering place,” she pointed out.
Becca concluded by saying, “It’s the beating heart of our city and you can find the heritage of others here.”
…And that’s why Downtown Rock Springs is My Own Downtown.
